Cam Robinson Wonderlic Test Score

Another big-time draft product from the Nick Saban school of football. Shocker. Robinson is as reliable as they come in the draft, starting every game during his college career for Alabama. Robinson earned consensus first-team All-American honors in his last year with the Crimson Tide, leading a potent offensive attack that Bama rode all the way to the national championship game.

Unfortunately, Cam Robinson’s Wonderlic test score of 16 is not all that great. ¬†Offensive lineman actually average higher on the Wonderlic test than any other player position, including quarterbacks, so his lower than average score may sound some alarm bells on draft day. Cam Robinson vs. Myles Garrett

Robinson is a tantalizing blend of quickness and thickness at OT, and gets a powerful push off the line. He has been known to blow open some running lanes while at Alabama, and has dealt well with some difficult combination blocking schemes while in Tuscaloosa. Robinson has faced off against some of the best defensive lineman in college, and has held his own well. He’s generally seen as as a mid-to-late first-rounder. The truth is that he would probably go much higher than that, but he hurt his draft stock a bit when he was arrested with marijuana and a stolen handgun in his vehicle. Given his off-the-field problems, scouts will be eagerly awaiting to see Cam Robinson’s Wonderlic test scores, which will give them a better idea if he’s suited to be an every Sunday OT in the NFL.

What is the Wonderlic Test

Ever sincne the 1970s the Wonderlic test has been a part of the NFL Scouting Combine. The NFL keeps using it because it is a quick and easy test to administer – it only contains 50 questions and there is a time limit of 12 minutes. It fits right in with all the other short tests and drills draft prospects must go through. In addition there is a great deal of historical data that scouts can use to compare this year’s draft class to previous years. Ideally if a person were to take the Wonderlic test today and then again in five years, we would expect to see very similar scores.
